"The Voice" and "The Blacklist" Generate the Night's #1 and #2 Ratings in 18-49 on the Big 4 Networks

Monday Results (NBC carried the Colts-Chargers NFL telecast in Indianapolis):

"The Voice" and "The Blacklist" are currently generating the night's #1 and #2 ratings in 18-49 on the Big 4 networks, pending updates. NBC is currently #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox in all key categories for a fourth week in a row, winning six of six half-hours in 18-49 among those nets, also for a fourth week in a row (while also leading six of six in total viewers last night, pending updates). NBC is winning the night among the Big 4 by a 74% margin in 18-49 (with a 4.0 rating vs. a 2.3 for #2 Fox).

· From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.5 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49, 13.8 million viewers overall) is currently winning the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key ratings category, including total viewers, despite competition from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." "The Voice" is #1 for the night on those networks in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. "The Voice" is currently matching last week's 4.5 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and within 0.1 of a point of last week's 4.6 in official nationals.

· "The Voice is currently generating growth from its first half-hour to its fourth of 28% or 1.1 rating points in adults 18-49 (to a 5.0 from a 3.9) and by 22% or nearly 2.7 million persons in total viewers (15.0 million vs. 12.4 million), pending updates.

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Blacklist" (3.2/9 in adults 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall) is currently #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings category, pending updates, with an adult 18-49 margin of 45% versus ABC's #2 "Castle" (3.2 vs. 2.2).

· "The Blacklist" is currently up a tenth of a rating point versus last week's rating in 18-49 (3.2 vs. 3.1) and matching last week's 3.2 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings. In total viewers, last night's "Blacklist" is currently up 2% versus last week's official-national 11.184 million. And note that last week's "Blacklist" added 47% to its 18-49 rating in "live plus three day" results and 4.6 million persons in total viewers, the second biggest increase in broadcast-network history (see details below).

· Versus NBC's averages in the slot last season, "The Blacklist" is up 60% in 18-49 (3.2 vs. 2.0, L+SD non-sports) and up 99% in total viewers (11.437 million vs. 5.746 million).

· LIVE PLUS THREE DAYS: Week three of "The Blacklist" has delivered the second-biggest time-shifting increase ever for a broadcast show going from "live plus same day" ratings to "live plus three day," and "Blacklist" now has generated the two highest increases ever and three of the top four.

· The Oct. 7 telecast grew by 4.526 million viewers overall going from its L+SD audience of 11.184 million to a L+3 viewership of 15.710 million. The only program in broadcast-network history to add more was the Sept. 30 "Blacklist," which grew by 5.081 million viewers. Number three on the list is the Oct. 3 telecast of CBS's "Big Bang Theory" (4.398 million) and fourth is the Sept. 23 premiere of "The Blacklist" (4.362 million).

· Week three of "The Blacklist" retained 96% of the show's week-two viewership in L+3 (15.7 million vs. 16.4 million).

· In adults 18-49, week three of "The Blacklist" retained 92% of the show's week-two rating in "live plus three day" 18-49 results (4.53 in week two vs. 4.95 in week one, L+3).

· In adults 18-49, week three of "The Blacklist" rose from a 3.09 rating in "live plus same day" to a 4.53 in "live plus three day," according to data from Nielsen Media Research, a lift of 1.44 rating points or 47%.

· LIVE PLUS SEVEN DAYS: In L+7 ratings for premiere week, "The Blacklist" added 43% or 1.66 rating points to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 5.49 in L+7 from a 3.83 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 45% or 5.696 million persons (18.279 million vs. 12.583 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.9/8 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated. Season figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."
