"Law & Order: SVU" Is Up 6% Week to Week in 18-49 and Up 17% in Total Viewers to a Three-Week High
NBC spins the numbers for Wednesday, October 16.

Wednesday Primetime Results:

TIME-SHIFTING: Note that last week in L+3, "Revolution" added 47% to its 18-49 rating, "SVU" added 46% and "Ironside" added 33%.

· "Law & Order: SVU" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) is up 6% week to week in 18-49 (to a 1.7 from a 1.6) and up 17% in total viewers (7.376 million vs. 6.312 million) to a three-week high. Versus the same night last year, "SVU" is up 6% (1.7 vs. 1.6) and up 18% in total viewers (7.376 million vs. 6.245 million). From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew in every key ratings category, including gains of 19% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.6), 14% in total viewers (7.8 million vs. 6.9 million) and 25% in adults 25-54 (2.5 vs. 2.0).

· L+3: In "Live Plus Three Day" ratings last week: "Law & Order: SVU" added 46% or 0.74 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 2.35 in L+3 from a 1.61 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 30% or 1.896 million persons (8.208 million vs. 6.312 million). L+7: In "Live Plus Seven Day" ratings for premiere week, "Law & Order: SVU" added 41% or 1.11 rating points to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 3.79 in L+7 from a 2.68 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 30% or 2.849 million persons (12.433 million vs. 9.584 million).

· "Ironside" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is currently matching last week's 18-49 rating, pending updates, and is the first new drama on the Big 4 to hold steady from week 2 to week 3 (1.1 vs. 1.1).

· "Ironside" is also the first new drama on those nets to finish within 0.2 of a point or 15% of its premiere rating in week 3.

· L+3: Last week's "Ironside" added 33% or 0.35 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 1.42 in L+3 from a 1.07 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 30% or 1.551 million persons (6.733 million vs. 5.182 million).

· "Revolution" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is currently running within a tenth of a point of last week's 18-49 rating and within 1% of last week in total viewers (5.385 million vs. 5.448 million), pending updates. Last night's "Revolution" improved by 8% on NBC's time-period result for the same night last year (1.4 vs. 1.3) and was up 30% versus the slot results on the same night last year in total viewers (5.385 million vs. 4.130 million).

· L+3: In "Live Plus Three Day" ratings last week: "Revolution" added 47% or 0.70 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 2.18 in L+3 from a 1.48 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 34% or 1.878 million persons (7.326 million vs. 5.448 million. L+7: In "Live Plus Seven Day" ratings for premiere week, "Revolution" added 59% or 1.08 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 2.90 in L+7 from a 1.82 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 41% or 2.796 million persons (9.603 million vs. 6.807 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.7/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) trailed CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.5/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
