TIGERS BATS ERUPT IN MOTOWN AS ALCS RATINGS CONTINUE TO RISE ON FOX

Game 4 Up +37% Over Last Year's NLCS and Shows Tremendous Growth in Key Demos

Detroit, MI - Largely credited to Jim Leyland's lineup shuffle, the Tiger bats came alive in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on FOX and delivered a solid 5.2/9 national household rating with 8.1 million viewers for the network, according to Nielsen Media Research. Last night's 5.2/9 is up +37% over last year's 3.8/6 (6.0 million viewers) for Game 4 of the National League Championship Series between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.

In key male demographics, ALCS Game 4 outperformed 2012's NLCS Game 4 on FOX by a wide margin, up +75% in Men 18-34 (2.8 vs. 1.6) and up +68% in Men 18-49 (3.2 vs. 1.9). In Adults 18-34, Game 4 is up +33% (2.0 vs. 1.5) and up 44% (2.3 vs. 1.6) compared to a year ago.

For the night, ALCS Game 4 ranked No. 1 in primetime across both key male demos and in Adults 18-34. It also tied as the No. 1 ranked program rating in Adults 18-49, marking the first time an LCS game on FOX has tied or won the night in that key demo since ALCS Game 6 in 2011.

Through four games, the 2013 ALCS on FOX is pacing +28% better than last year's NLCS rating on FOX (4.6/8 vs. 3.6/6) and +29% higher on viewership (7.2 million vs. 5.6 million).

Detroit led all markets last night, posting an impressive 34.5/52, matching their Game 2 LCS ratings record, followed by Boston's 20.2/34. Providence was next with an 18.9/29, followed by Hartford (10.0/16), Ft. Myers (7.4/12), Tampa (7.5/13), Greensboro (5.5/8), Cleveland (6.3/11), West Palm Beach (5.0/8) and Richmond (5.1/8).

ALCS on FOX coverage resumes today with Game 5 from Comerica Park beginning at 7:30 PM ET.
