Live + 7 Day Ratings for the week of 10/7/13 (Week #3):

Based on Nielsen's TV playback data among Adults 18-49, ABC grew to a 2.5 rating among Adults 18-49 in the final Live + 7 numbers, an increase of +0.7 tenths of a rating point over its Live + Same Day number (tying as the biggest L+7 gain for any network). ABC also increased its Total Viewer tally by +1.8 million viewers, delivering 8.8 million viewers to outdraw Fox (8.6 million) in the final L+7 data. In fact, on average for the season, ABC ranks #1 in the non-sports Adult 18-49 ratings (2.95 rating), beating NBC (2.94), CBS (2.85) and Fox (2.75).

For the 2nd week in a row, ABC claimed the most Top 10 playback gainers of any network among Adults 18-49. With each show adding on at least +1.5 rating points over their L+SD numbers, ABC had 4 of the week's 10 biggest TV playback gainers on the broadcast networks: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (+1.9 rating points - biggest drama gainer), Modern Family (+1.8 rating points), Grey's Anatomy (+1.8 rating points) and Scandal (+1.5 rating points). ABC had 5 of the 10 biggest overall gainers on the broadcast networks (also the most for any network): Castle (+4.5 million), S.H.I.E.L.D. (+4.1 million), Modern Family (+4.0 million), Grey's Anatomy (+3.9 million) and Scandal (+3.8 million).

Posting their biggest gains yet this season, ABC's Nashville and Revenge shot up 81% and 75%, respectively, over their Live+SD Adult 18-49 rating to qualify as 2 of the week's 3 biggest percentage gainers on the broadcast nets. In fact, along with Nashville and Revenge, almost all of ABC's series scored their biggest gains of the season this week in the young adult demo: Betrayal (+63%), Castle (+68%), The Goldbergs (+47%), Grey's Anatomy (+64%), Last Man Standing (+58%), Scandal (+48%), S.H.I.E.L.D. (+66%), Shark Tank (+41%), Trophy Wife (+43%).

In the Live + 7 Day ratings, ABC scored 4 of the Top 10 highest-rated broadcast shows in Adults 18-49 (versus 2 shows in the Live+SD ratings): Modern Family (5.7 rating) - #3, S.H.I.E.L.D. (4.8) - #6 and Grey's Anatomy (4.6) and Scandal (4.6) tied for #8.

· For the 2nd consecutive week, ABC's Scandal scored the show's largest-ever increases in L+7, adding on another +1.5 rating points and +3.8 million viewers to build to a 4.6 rating among Adults 18-49 and 12.8 million Total Viewers in the final Live + 7 Day ratings.

(+2.2 rating points), Modern Family (+2.0 rating points), Grey's Anatomy (+1.7 rating points), Scandal (+1.4 rating points) and Nashville (+1.3 rating points).

· With larger playback gains than Fox's Sleepy Hollow (+2.0 rating points) and NBC's The Blacklist (+1.9 rating points) among Adults 18-49, ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D. is the season's biggest gainer for any freshman series (+2.2 rating points) and ranks as the season's #1 new show and #1 broadcast drama in the key young adult demo (5.8 rating).
