"48 HOURS: RELENTLESS" IS SATURDAY'S #1 NON-SPORTS PROGRAM WITH ADULTS 25-54 - THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT MATTERS MOST TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS - AS WELL AS VIEWERS

"48 HOURS" POSTS ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE DELIVERY SINCE MAY 5, 2012

48 HOURS: "Relentless" was Saturday's #1 program with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - as well as viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 2, 2013. 48 HOURS also posted its largest audience deliveries since May 5, 2012.

48 HOURS (10:00-11:00 PM) posted a 4.3/08 with 6.39m viewers, a 1.7/05 in adults 25-54 and a 1.2/04 with adults 18-49.

Saturday's broadcast featured Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS investigation into the murder of Nicole Pietz, and her mother's campaign to wage psychological warfare on her daughter's alleged killer. Nicole Pietz disappeared from her suburban Seattle home in January 2006. Her husband, David Pietz, reported her missing. Nine days later, Nicole's body was found in a wooded field near the Seattle airport.

Police had few clues and the case eventually went cold. But Nicole's mother, Gael Schneider never let go. From the beginning she suspected David had killed her daughter and started a six-year campaign to get justice for Nicole. Then, more than six years after Nicole was found dead, new detectives pieced together evidence to arrest David Pietz for her murder.

48 HOURS: "Relentless" is produced by Susan Mallie, Paul LaRosa, Alec Sirken and Tom Seligson. Leslie Neigher and Deanna DiMuro are the associate producers. Joan Adelman, Mike Mongulla, Gary Winter, Maria Barrow, Marcus Balsam and Michelle Harris are the editors. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
