NBC Finishes #1 Monday Night in Adults 18-49 Among the Big 4 by a 50% Margin

Monday Results (CW carried the Dolphins-Buccaneers NFL telecast in Miami):

NBC finished #1 Monday night in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 by a 50% margin (with a 3.9/10 average vs. a 2.6/7 for #2 Fox), taking six of six half-hours in 18-49 with week-to-week gains from "The Voice" and "The Blacklist."

· From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.8 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 11.9 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key demographic - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. Week to week, "The Voice" is up 6% in 18-49 rating (to a 3.8 from a 3.6) and also up in total viewers (11.892 million vs. 11.748 million). Versus the comparable second live Monday telecast of the prior cycle, "The Voice" maintained its 18-49 rating (3.8 vs. 3.8 on May 13) and was up 5% in total viewers (11.892 million vs. 11.292 million).

· "The Voice" is #1 for the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and other key categories.

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Blacklist" (3.0/8 in adults 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and every other key measure, with its adult 18-49 margin of 58% versus ABC's #2 "Castle" (3.0 vs. 1.9) up from last week's 32% (2.9 vs. 2.2). "The Blacklist" is the #1 drama of the night in 18-49.

· Week to week, "The Blacklist" is up 3% in 18-49 rating (3.0 vs. 2.9) and up 4% in total viewers (10.726 million vs. 10.337 million). The 10.726 million viewers overall is a four-week high for "Blacklist," best since the show averaged 13.781 million on Oct. 14. And note that "Blacklist" is a heavily time-shifted show, with last week's telecast adding a highest-yet 68% to its 18-49 rating in "live plus three day" results and a U.S. TV record 5.4 million persons in total viewers (see details below).

· Versus NBC's averages in the slot last season, last night's "Blacklist" is up 50% in 18-49 (3.0 vs. 2.0, L+SD non-sports) and up 87% in total viewers (10.726 million vs. 5.746 million).

· L+3: "The Blacklist" has set a new record for biggest "live plus three day" increase in U.S. television history in total viewership, with the Nov. 4 telecast growing by 5.427 million persons (from 10.337 million viewers in "live plus same day" to 15.764 million in L+3). The 53% lift is the biggest percentage increase to date for "The Blacklist" in total viewers

· Blacklist now has 5 of top 6 biggest L+3 increases in U.S. broadcast history in total viewers.

· In L+3, "Blacklist" is up week-to-week in total viewers for each of the last three weeks. Its L+3 viewer increases are also up week to week for each of the last three weeks.

· In adults 18-49, the Nov. 4 "Blacklist" delivered the show's biggest L+3 gains to date on both a percentage basis and by rating point, adding 68% or 1.95 rating points to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 4.81 in L+3 from a 2.86 in L+SD).

· In L+3, "Blacklist" is up week-to-week in 18-49 for a fourth week in a row. Out of seven "Blacklist" telecasts to date, only the second and third have failed to grow versus the prior week in L+3 adult 18-49 ratings. "Blacklist's" L+3 increases are also up week to week both in rating point and on a percentage basis for each of the last four weeks.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.0/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.6/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
