Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Pulls in Front Among Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/15/13):

CBS (9.957 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was the network to beat on Friday with its mix of "Undercover Boss" (8.554 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2),"Hawaii Five-0" (9.719 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (11.597 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5).

ABC (6.016 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then had to settle for second place with its combination of "Last Man Standing" (6.305 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6), "The Neighbors" (4.151 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), "Shark Tank" (6.405 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) and "20/20" (6.413 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

Next up was NBC (4.850 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with fresh installments of "Dateline NBC" (5.849 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9), "Grimm" (5.741 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3) and "Dracula" (2.961 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.659 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) served up the relocated "Bones" (5.131 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8) alongside the season premiere of "Raising Hope" (2.349 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and a second "Raising Hope" (2.024 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12).

And finally, a new "The Carrie Diaries" (0.812 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) and the season finale of "America's Next Top Model" (1.281 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14) on The CW (1.047 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Carrie" delivered a 0.7 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Model" a 0.8 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.4/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/16/12):

ABC (6.50 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was Friday's top draw thanks to its mix of "Last Man Standing" (7.10 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4), "Malibu Country" (6.66 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8), "Shark Tank" (6.70 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "20/20" (5.92 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4).

CBS (8.54 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then was a close second place with its lineup of "Undercover Boss" (8.98 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2), "CSI: NY" (9.50 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4) and "We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston" (7.15 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4).

Next up was NBC (3.98 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with repeats of "Go On" (2.60 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and "Guys With Kids" (2.18 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) plus originals from "Grimm" (5.02 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and "Dateline NBC" (4.54 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.06 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up new episodes of "Kitchen Nightmares" (3.43 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9) and "Fringe" (2.70 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

And finally, the season finale of "America's Next Top Model" (1.36 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #14) plus a "America's Next Top Model" (0.77 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) special closed out the evening on The CW (1.06 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5).

In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Top Model" delivered a 0.7 rating at 8:00/7:00c and a 0.4 rating at 9:00/8:00c.
