"Saturday Night Live" Hits a Season High in Total Viewers

"SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" HITS A SEASON HIGH IN TOTAL VIEWERS

With Host Paul Rudd and Musical Guest One Direction, 'SNL' Delivers 6.7 Million Viewers, Its Biggest Audience Since the March 9 Telecast Hosted by Justin Timberlake

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Dec. 12, 2013 - The Dec. 7 telecast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Paul Rudd and musical guest One Direction, has delivered the show's top total-viewer result since the March 9 edition, with host and musical guest Justin Timberlake.

Last week's episode earned a 2.3 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49 and 6.677 million viewers overall The 6.677 million is highest for "Saturday Night Live" since the March 9 telecast averaged 8.4 million. In adults 18-49, it's the top "SNL" since the Nov. 16 edition (with host and musical guest Lady Gaga, 2.4) and the second-best "SNL" since Oct. 5 (with host and musical guest Miley Cyrus, 2.7).

In teens 12-17, "Saturday Night Live" averaged 322,000 viewers, the show's biggest teen audience since March 9 (Justin Timberlake, also 322,000) and matched its best since Oct. 20, 2012 (with host and musical guest Bruno Mars, 323,000).

Versus Saturday's primetime programming on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, "Saturday Night Live" outscored all that night's telecasts in adults 18-49 and total viewers except Fox's coverage of the Big 10 Ohio State-Michigan State college football championship.
