"60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP 5 IN KEY DEMOS WITH AN AUDIENCE OF 17 MILLION

The CBS Newsmagazine Scores its Highest Rating in Adults 18-49 in More Than a Year

60 MINUTES made Nielsen's Top 5 in key demos and scored its highest rating in the adults 18-49 demo in more than a year.

Drawing an audience of 17.06 million viewers and scoring a 10.4/17 household rating landed the program at #5 for the week in both measures, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 12, 2014.

The #1 news program really delivered in the key demos, finishing at #4 in both adults 25-54 (5.2/11) and adults 18-49 (4.0/10), with the latter rating the program's best since Dec. 16, 2012.

Compared to last year, 60 MINUTES was up +21 percent each in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, and was up +17 percent in households.

Sunday's 60 MINUTES featured the news-breaking Scott Pelley investigation into the doping case against New York Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez produced by Michael Radutzky and a Lesley Stahl story about extremely rare people who can remember virtually every day of their lives.

CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES.
