"The Biggest Loser" Equals Last Week's 18-49 Rating and Is Up Week to Week in Total Viewers
NBC spins the numbers for Tuesday, January 14.

Tuesday Results:

· "The Biggest Loser" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.5 viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period in women 18-34 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox and ranked #2 among those nets in women 18-49 and 25-54. "Biggest Loser" equaled last week's 18-49 rating and is up week to week in total viewers (5.508 million vs. 5.458 million).

· "Chicago Fire" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) finished within 0.2 of a rating point of the time-period lead among ABC, CBS and NBC ("Person of Interest," 2.0/6) and won the hour in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49 among those nets. "Chicago Fire" more than doubled ABC's week two of "Killer Women" in adults 18-49 (0.7/2) and beat the ABC series in every key measure. Note that last week's "Chicago Fire" grew by 47% in 18-49 and more than 3 million viewers overall in "live plus three day" ratings (see details below).

· "Chicago Fire" is currently running within a tenth of a point of last week's 1.9 in these prelim fast-national ratings and within 0.2 of last week's 2.0 in official nationals.

· Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Chicago Fire" maintained or increased its rating from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure

· L+3 Time-Shifting: "Chicago Fire" added 47% or 0.92 of a point to last week's next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 2.87 in L+3 from a 1.95 in L+SD) and 3.104 million viewers overall (9.976 million vs. 6.872 million). The 0.92 lift in 18-49 was "Chicago Fire's" biggest since Oct. 22.

· NBC finished #2 for the night in adults 18-49 against all original competition on the Big 4 and tied for #1 in adults 18-34.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.6/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
