"Chicago P.D." Is Up in 18-49 and Total Viewers for a Second Week in a Row and Ranks #1 in the 10 p.m. Hour
NBC spins the numbers for Wednesday, January 29.

Wednesday Primetime Results:

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "Chicago P.D." (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall) is up in 18-49 and total viewers for a second week in a row and ranks #1 in the 10 p.m. hour in those and most other key measures among ABC, CBS and NBC (vs. a "Nashville" original and "CSI" encore), pending updates. "Chicago P.D." retained 89% of its lead-in in 18-49 and retained 91% of that lead-in in total viewers. Note that last week's "Chicago P.D." grew by 51% in L+3 versus these L+SD figures (details below).

· "Chicago P.D." is the first new drama on the Big 4 this season to grow with two of its first three telecasts to follow the show's debut. "Chicago P.D." is up versus the prior week by 6% in 18-49 rating (1.7 vs. 1.6) and up versus two weeks ago by 13% (1.7 vs. 1.5), pending updates. In total viewers, last night's edition is up 10% versus the prior week (6.877 million vs. 6.236 million) and up 25% versus two week ago (6.877 million vs. 5.505 million)

· In its first four weeks on the schedule, "Chicago P.D." has now generated NBC's four best 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period, excluding "Saturday Night Live" specials, since Sept. 25, 2013.

· "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.9/5 in adults 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) grew week to week in 18-49 and total viewers for a second straight week and ranked #2 in the time period among the Big 4 in virtually all key measures.

· Versus one week ago, "SVU" is up 6% in 18-49 rating (1.9 vs. 1.8) and up 13% in total viewers (7.539 million vs. 6.683 million) and versus two weeks ago, last night's "SVU" is up 36% in 18-49 (1.9 vs. 1.4) and up 39% in total viewers (7.539 million vs. 5.435 million). Last night's "SVU" grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of 11% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.0 rating from a 1.8) and 19% in women 18-49 (2.5 vs. 2.1).

· "Revolution" averaged a 1.3/4 in adults 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET.

L+3 Time Shifting: Last week's editions of NBC's Wednesday dramas were all significantly time-shifted: "Revolution" grew by 47% in 18-49 going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings to "live plus three day" (to a 2.21 from a 1.50), "SVU" was up by 44% (2.66 vs. 1.85) and "Chicago P.D." increased by 51% (2.45 vs. 1.62).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.3/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.7/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
