FOX Races Past the Competition to Rank No. 1 for the Week Among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens with Entertainment Programming and No. 2 Behind the Winter Olympics Coverage
FOX spins the numbers for the week of February 17-23.

NATIONAL NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 17 - FEBRUARY 23, 2014

Between three nights of AMERICAN IDOL XIII, NASCAR DAYTONA 500, THE FOLLOWING, ALMOST HUMAN and RAKE, FOX raced past the competition to rank No. 1 for the week among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens with entertainment programming and No. 2 behind the Winter Olympics coverage.

Despite airing against the Olympics, AMERICAN IDOL XIII led FOX to be the No. 1 network with entertainment programing on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Overall, FOX had:

· 6 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49: FOX NASCAR DAYTONA 500 (No. 7), AMERICAN IDOL Tue Sp-2/18 (No. 9), AMERICAN IDOL Wed. (No. 10), AMERICAN IDOL Thurs. (No. 14), THE FOLLOWING (No. 19 tie) and ALMOST HUMAN (No. 19 tie).

· 5 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34: AMERICAN IDOL Tue Sp-2/18 (No. 9), AMERICAN IDOL Wed. (No. 11), AMERICAN IDOL Thurs. (No. 12), FOX NASCAR DAYTONA 500 (No. 13) and ALMOST HUMAN (No. 19).

· 5 of the Top 20 programs among Teens: AMERICAN IDOL Tue Sp-2/18 (No. 5), AMERICAN IDOL Wed. (No. 7), AMERICAN IDOL Thurs. (No. 11), FOX NASCAR DAYTONA 500 (No. 20 tie) and ALMOST HUMAN (No. 20 tie).

Program and Nightly Highlights

Monday: FOX ranked No. 3 in broadcast prime among Adults 18-49 (1.7/5). ALMOST HUMAN (1.7/5) was up one-tenth week-to-week (vs. 1.6/4). THE FOLLOWING (1.7/4) was even to the previous Monday.

Tuesday: FOX ranked No. 2 in prime among Adults 18-49 (2.7/8). Kicking-off Rush week with a special Tuesday telecast against the Olympics, AMERICAN IDOL delivered a 2.7/8 in Adults 18-49.

Wednesday: FOX (2.6/8) was the No. 2 broadcast prime net among Adults 18-49. Featuring Day 2 of Rush week, AMERICAN IDOL-WED. posted a 2.6/8 in Adults 18-49.

Thursday: FOX (1.7/5) ranked No. 3 in broadcast prime among Adults 18-49. Revealing the Top 13 on the final day of Rush week, AMERICAN IDOL-THU. delivered a 2.4/8 in Adults 18-49.

The fifth telecast of RAKE posted a 1.0/3 in Adults 18-49.

Friday: FOX ranked No. 5 in prime with its full line-up in encores (0.7/2). An encore BONES posted a 0.9/3 from 8-9p, followed by an ENLISTED encore (0.6/2) and a RAISING HOPE encore (0.4/1).

Saturday: FOX ranked No. 5 in prime (0.3/1) among Adults 18-49. From 8-9p, a DAYTONA 500 SPECIAL posted a (0.4/1). At 9p, THE FOLLOWING encore (0.2/1) was even to the previous week's encore.

Sunday: FOX ranked No. 2 among the broadcast nets last night among Adults 18-49 (2.1/6) with encore animated comedies and the continuation of the Daytona 500 after a rain delay.

Encores of BOB'S BURGERS (1.1/4) and AMERICAN DAD (1.1/4) aired from 7-8p. At 8p, the DAYTONA 500 PRE-RACE SPECIAL resumed, averaging a 1.5/6. THE DAYTONA 500 resumed from 8:35-11:23p, combining with its daytime portion to average a 2.8/8. Last year's race ran from 1:31-4:44p and posted a 4.8/20 final national rating among Adults 18-49.
