"Chicago Fire" Wins the 10 p.m. Hour in Adults 18-49 and Other Key Demos with Its Highest 18-49 Rating Since January 7
NBC spins the numbers for Tuesday, March 4.

Tuesday Results:

NBC finished #1 Tuesday in adults 18-49, winning five of six half-hours among the Big 4 in 18-49 with growth versus last week in five of six half-hours. "The Voice" and "About a Boy" ranked #1 and #2 for the night in 18-49 on a highly competitive Tuesday with all originals on the Big 4.

· Week two of "The Voice 6" (4.0/12 in 18-49, 14.4 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the night in 18-49 and won its time period among the Big 4 networks in every key demo. From its first half-hour to its second, "The Voice" grew by 16% or 0.6 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 4.3 from a 3.7).

· "The Voice" (4.0/12) is up 8% in 18-49 versus last week's 3.7 for the Tuesday premiere of the current cycle and up 10% or 1.3 million persons in total viewers (14.376 million 13.045 million).

· "The Voice" matched its fall finale (4.0 from 9-11 p.m. on Dec. 17) for the show's best Tuesday rating since Oct. 22. In total viewers it even topped the fall finale and earned the biggest Tuesday audience for "The Voice" since Oct. Oct. 1.

· "About a Boy" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in the time period by 0.5 of a rating point in adults 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.1 that half-hour for "NCIS: LA"). "About a Boy" earned NBC's top 18-49 and total-viewers results in the time period, excluding Olympics, since the "Voice" finale on Dec. 17.

· "About a Boy" generated an 18% increase versus its prior original telecast in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.2 for a post-Olympic preview on Saturday, Feb. 22). While "About A Boy" did not air its first two originals in the same time period, it's the first new comedy on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox this season to grow in 18-49 rating from its first original telecast to its second.

· "Growing Up Fisher" (2.0/5 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) finished within a tenth of a rating point of slot leader "NCIS: LA" in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 2.1) and won the slot among the Big 4 in women 18-34 and women 18-49. "Growing Up Fisher" matched its prior original in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 2.0 with a special post-Olympic preview on Sunday, Feb. 23.

· "Chicago Fire" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) won the 10 p.m. hour among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49 and other key demos with its highest 18-49 rating since Jan. 7. Week to week, "Chicago Fire" is up 6% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.8) and up slightly in total viewers (7.089 million vs. 7.063 million). From half-hour to half-hour, "Chicago Fire" maintained its 18-49 rating despite the 10 p.m. hour. L+3 Time-Shifting: Last week's "Chicago Fire" grew by 54% in 18-49 (to a 2.76 from a 1.79) and 2.8 million viewers overall (9.9 million vs. 7.1 million) going from these L+SD ratings to L+3.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.5/9; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "Tonight," 1.4/7; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.7/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/5 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
