ABC Wins Friday with "Shark Tank" and "20/20" as the Top 2 TV Shows
ABC Friday Prime (8-11pm - 6.6 million and 1.6/6 in AD18-49): ABC won on Friday among Adults 18-49 (1.6/6) for the 2nd week in a row, beating original lineups on CBS by 14% (1.4/5) and NBC by 23% (1.3/4). In fact, the Network led its 6th consecutive non-Olympic Friday.
· ABC's Shark Tank (2.0/7) and 20/20 (1.8/6) continued to rank as Friday's Top 2 TV programs in Adults 18-49. ABC's 20/20 was also the night's #1 newsmagazine, beating out NBC's Dateline in Total Viewers and key Adults (AD18-49/AD25-54).
Last Man Standing (8-8:30pm - 6.1 million and 1.3/5 in AD18-49): At 8pm, ABC's Last Man Standing ranked #1 in its half-hour in Adults 18-49 (tie) and was up 8% week to week.
Shark Tank (9-10pm - 7.5 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49): Spiking over its lead-in by 122% at 9pm in Adults 18-49, ABC's Shark Tank outdelivered its closest competition in the hour by 33% (2.0/7 vs. 1.5/5 - NBC's Grimm). Season to date, Shark Tank is up double digits in Total Viewers (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+10%) over the same point last year, tracking as the series' best-ever season.
20/20 (10-11pm - 7.6 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49): For the 2nd week in row, ABC's 20/20 dominated the 10 o'clock hour in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6), beating CBS Blue Bloods by 29% (1.4/5) and NBC's Hannibal by 125% (0.8/3). The ABC newsmagazine also won the hour for the 2nd straight week in the key Adult 25-54 news demo. From dry cleaners, nail salons, and movie theaters, to baggage handlers and movers, 20/20 reported on shocking disclosures and secrets of their trades. 20/20 was up week to week in Total Viewers (+4%) and tied its 2nd-highest ratings this season in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54. Up for the 2nd year in a row, 20/20 is growing 19% in Total Viewers season to date and is on track to deliver its most-watched season in 4 years - since the 2009-10 season.
