"48 HOURS" FINISHES 2013-2014 SEASON AS SATURDAY'S #1 NON-SPORTS BROADCAST FOR THE EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE SEASON

"48 HOURS: A DAUGHTER, A MORTGAGE AND TWO MURDERS" IS SATURDAY'S #1 PROGRAM WITH VIEWERS

48 HOURS finished its eighth consecutive television season as Saturday's #1 non-sports broadcast with viewers and was the top non-sports broadcast in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen most current ratings for the 2013-2014 season. 48 HOURS delivered 5.25m viewers and a 1.4/04 with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.

48 HOURS ended the season with "A Daughter, a Mortgage and Two Murders," which was Saturday's #1 program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 17, 2014. At 10:00 PM, 48 HOURS delivered 4.97m viewers and a 1.2/04 with adults 24-54. Compared to the same night last year, 48 HOURS was up +28% in viewers (from 3.88m) and up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/03).

Saturday's broadcast, "A Daughter, A Mortgage and Two Murders," featured Erin Moriarty and 48 HOURS' report on the mystery behind the murder of an Albuquerque, N.M., couple and the two surprising suspects that emerged during the investigation - the couple's daughter and a loan processor who did some work for the victims. 48 HOURS covered the case for eight years, including the trial of Ron Santiago, who had processed a loan for the couple and was charged with their murders. Santiago vowed he had nothing to do with the murders, and a jury agreed. 48 HOURS was there when the jury decided Santiago's fate.

48 HOURS: "A Daughter, a Mortgage and Two Murders" is produced by Paul LaRosa and Allen Alter. Leslie Neigher is the associate producer. Bruce Spiegel, Atticus Brady and Richard Barber are the editors. Peter Schweitzer is the senior producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
