UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 24, 2014 - NBC has won the primetime ratings week of June 16-22 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 with Tuesday and Sunday editions of "America's Got Talent" ranking as the #1 and #2 programs of the week on those networks. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.2 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall for the week.

"American Ninja Warrior" (#8), "Last Comic Standing" (tied for #10) and "The Night Shift" (tied for #12) joined the two "Talent" telecasts among the top 15 primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox last week, and ranking within the week's top 30 were two Wednesday encores of "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #22 and tied for #28) and Friday's "Dateline NBC" (tied for #28).

"Talent" ranked #1 and #2 in adults and men 18-49, persons 2+, teens 12-17 and adults, men and women 25-54 and was also #1 in adults 18-34, men 18-34 and kids 2-11.

In addition to leading ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for the week in adults 18-49, NBC ranked #1 in adults, men and women 25-54; men and women 18-49; adults 18-34 (tie) and women 18-34 (tie),

Through 39 weeks of the 2013-14 broadcast year, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 (tied with Fox), men 18-49 (tied with Fox), men 25-54 and all key adult-female demos. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in adults 18-49 at this point in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 2/6 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in four years (since a 2.6 in 2009-10).

Versus one year ago, NBC is up +13% for the broadcast year to date in adults 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.3).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the broadcast year with an average of 8.9 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 39 weeks into the season in eight years (since 2005-06, 9.4 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up +28% season to date in total viewers (8.9 million vs. 6.9 million). It's the first time NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season in 10 years.

Primetime averages for the week of June 16-22 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 1.2/4; ABC, 1.0/4; Fox, 1.0/3; CBS, 0.8/3; and CW, 0.3/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 5.0 million; NBC, 4.9 million; ABC, 4.1 million; Fox, 2.9 million; and CW, 1.1 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 2.6/8; Fox, 2.3/7; CBS, 2.2/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.2 million; NBC, 8.9 million; ABC, 7.5 million; Fox, 7.0 million; and CW, 1.8 million.

NBC highlights for the week of June 16-22:

Monday: An encore telecast of "Last Comic Standing" (0.9 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key measures, with gains of +25% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.8), +18% in adults 25-54 (1.3 vs. 1.1) and +17% in women 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.2).

"American Ninja Warrior" (1.6/5 in adults 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) won its two-hour time period a among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and dominated its second hour from 10-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC versus original competition from both ABC's "Mistresses" and CBS's "48 Hours." "American Ninja Warrior" won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. by a margin of +60% in 18-49 (with a 1.6 rating that hour vs. a 1.0 for "Mistresses") and finished within 0.2 of a point of the combined ABC-CBS rating in 18-49 (1.6 that hour vs. a combined 1.8 - 1.0 for "Mistresses" and 0.8 for "48 Hours").

Tuesday: NBC won Tuesday night in 18-49 and total viewers among the Big 4 networks with the #1 and #2 shows of the night in 18-49, "America's Got Talent" and "The Night Shift," leading six of six half-hours in 18-49 and total viewers and with both shows winning their slots among the Big 4 nets in every key measure.

"America's Got Talent" (2.6/9 in 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) won the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key measure and was the #1 telecast of the night in 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories. "America's Got Talent" beat the combined ABC-CBS-Fox competition in adults 18-49, with a 2.6 rating versus a combined 2.2 for ABC's "Extreme Weight Loss" (0.8), CBS's drama encores (0.9) and Fox's comedy rebroadcasts (0.5). "Talent" also edged those networks combined in total viewers (11.424 million vs. a combined 11.402 million).

"The Night Shift" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure and was the #2 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49, behind only "America's Got Talent."

Wednesday: An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.0/4 in adults 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #2 among the Big 4 networks in the time period in 18-49.

A second rebroadcast of "Law & Order: SVU" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour in most key measures, including gains of +20% in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.0), +14% in women 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.4) and +44% in women 18-34 (1.3 vs. 0.9).

An encore telecast of "Chicago P.D." (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second by +4% in total viewers (to 3.0 million from 2.9 million), despite the 10 p.m. hour.

For the night, NBC tied for #2 in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 with ABC (1.0 each).

Thursday: An encore telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) retained 90% of the prior week's 18-49 rating for an original (with a 0.9 vs. a 1.0).

With an encore lead-in this week versus an original lead-in last week, "Undateable" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET; 0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m.) retained 100% of the prior week's 18-49 rating at both 9:01 and 9:30. It was the fourth time in its four weeks "Undateable" maintained its full 18-49 rating from its first half-hour to its second. All eight episodes of "Undateable" to date have out-rated every episode of all three of last summer's original comedies on the Big 4 networks (NBC's "Save Me" and Fox's "Anger Management" and "The Goodwin Games") in adults 18-49.

"Last Comic Standing" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew +17% week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.2) to win decisively at 10 among ABC, CBS and NBC by a +27% margin over ABC's second-place season premiere of "Rookie Blue" (1.4 vs. 1.1). This week's "Last Comic Standing" is up versus NBC's average in the time period last summer by +40% in adults 18-49 (with a 1.4 rating vs. a 1.0, L+SD non-sports) and by +21% in total viewers (4.005 million vs. 3.321 million).

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49. Versus the same night last year, "Dateline" was up +18% in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 5.1 million).

"Crossbones" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET.

Saturday: "Crisis" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) won the time period among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34 (tie), adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos.

A second telecast of "Crisis" (0.6/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and men 25-54 (tie).

A rebroadcast of "The Blacklist" (0.4/2 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) held steady or grew from its first half-hour to its second in every key measure, despite the 10 p.m. hour.

Sunday: NBC won its first Sunday among the Big 4 networks since the Sochi Olympics in 18-49 and total viewers, led by the #1 show of the night on those nets in both measures, "America's Got Talent."

An encore telecast of "American Ninja Warrior" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the time period in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. The "American Ninja Warrior" encore grew by +267% from its first half-hour to its fourth in 18-49 (to a 1.1 rating from a 0.3) and by +97% or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (3.7 million vs. 1.9 million).

A special Sunday edition of "America's Got Talent" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and total viewers and the #1 show among those nets in its two-hour time period. "Talent" topped ABC's premiere of "Rising Star" by a +40% margin in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 1.5 from 9-11 p.m.) and by +56% in total viewers (8.1 million vs. 5.2 million). "Talent" scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period, excluding sports and Golden Globes, since Jan. 6, 2013. In total viewers, it was NBC's top result in the slot, excluding sports and the Golden Globes, since May 22, 2011
