SATURDAY'S ENCORE BROADCAST OF "48 HOURS: MURDER AT SEA?" IS THE #1 BROADCAST AT 10:00 PM WITH VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49

Saturday's encore broadcast of 48 HOURS: "Murder at Sea?" was the #1 broadcast at 10:00 PM with viewers, adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 5.

48 HOURS: "Murder at Sea?" (R) averaged 4.05 million viewers and a 1.0/04 with adults 25-54 and a 0.6/03 with adults 18-49.

Saturday's broadcast featured 48 HOURS Correspondent Richard Schlesinger with an updated report on a renewed push to get answers in the disappearance of George Smith, a newlywed who went missing while on a honeymoon cruise in 2005. Nine years to the day after he vanished, 48 HOURS reported the family was offering a new $100,000 reward. The new reward, along with a fresh team of FBI agents assigned to the case, have given the family hope for closure they've long sought in the case of their missing son.

Smith was last seen alive after a night of heavy drinking and gambling on the cruise ship. His wife, Jennifer Smith, was later found passed out in a hallway. George Smith was never found, though passengers noticed a bloodstain on a lifeboat canopy. The ship's captain has described the incident as a likely accident. His family, however, believes he was murdered.

The family's attorney also believes a key to the case is a videotape made hours after Smith disappeared, featuring three of the four men to last see him alive commenting about him in a callous way. Lawyers for all four men say they had nothing to do with George Smith's disappearance.

48 HOURS: "Murder at Sea?" is produced by Lourdes Aguiar and Peter Shaw. Jennifer Simpson Ashmawy is the field producer. Suzanne Allen is the senior coordinating producer. Gregory F. McLaughlin is the producer-editor. Mike Mongulla, Ken Blum, Bob Orozovich, and Maria Barrow are the editors. Judy Tygard is the senior producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
