Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Demos with "Big Brother"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/10/14):

CBS (5.605 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the top draw on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.861 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2), "The Millers" (5.784 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4), "Big Brother 16" (6.153 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and a rebroadcast of "Extant" (3.840 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11).

FOX (3.576 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then took home the silver with originals from "Hell's Kitchen" (4.668 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and "Gang Related" (2.484 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10).

Next up was NBC (3.428 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its new lineup of "Hollywood Game Night" (3.825 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6), "Welcome to Sweden" (3.503 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6), "Meet the Engels" (2.755 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and "Last Comic Standing" (3.328 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #5).

Meanwhile, ABC (4.579 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Black Box" (3.623 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11), "Rookie Blue" (4.940 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6) and "NY Med" (5.173 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6).

And finally, repeats of "The Vampire Diaries" (0.690 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14) and "The Originals" (0.669 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T14) on The CW (0.680 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Diaries" delivered a 0.3 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Originals" a 0.4 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

CBS (6.003 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T1) was the most-watched network on Thursday thanks to repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.957 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and "Two and a Half Men" (6.724 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) plus a new "Big Brother 15" (6.148 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T1) and a rebroadcast of "Elementary" (4.522 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10).

Sharing the demo crown was FOX (4.018 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T1) with a repeat of "Hell's Kitchen" (2.929 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) followed by an original "Hell's Kitchen" (5.107 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T1).

Next up was NBC (3.825 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with a repeat of "The Winner Is" (3.461 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) alongside a new "The Winner Is" (3.905 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) and the premiere of "Hollywood Game Night" (4.110 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5).

Meanwhile, ABC (4.575 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up new episodes of "Wipeout" (3.902 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9), "Motive" (4.639 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) and "Rookie Blue" (5.185 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

And finally, repeats of "The Vampire Diaries" (0.615 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and "Beauty and the Beast" (0.518 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) on The CW (0.566 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night. ·In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/2 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
