CMT KEEPS THE PARTY GOING AS 1.3 MILLION VIEWERS TUNE IN FOR PREMIERES OF "PARTY DOWN SOUTH 2" AND "DRUNKSGIVING" SPECIAL

"PARTY DOWN SOUTH 2" BECOMES SECOND HIGHEST-RATED L+3 SERIES PREMIERE IN NETWORK HISTORY

NASHVILLE - November 25, 2014 - CMT brings the party back just in time for the holidays. The premieres of PARTY DOWN SOUTH 2 and related holiday special DRUNKSGIVING delivered a combined 1.3 million Total Viewers (Live + 3) when they debuted last week. Additionally, CMT's PARTY DOWN SOUTH 2 delivered the network's second highest-rated Live + 3 series premiere in network history when it debuted Thursday, November 20. The series premiere, which introduced a new crew of characters to the beloved franchise, scored 748,000 Total Viewers and 505,000 Adults 18-49 in its premiere slot (Live+3) according to Nielsen Media Research. Ratings grew an impressive +77% from premiere with playback.

The original cast of PARTY DOWN SOUTH remains on-air as the first of two holiday-themed specials, DRUNKSGIVING, debuted November 19 on CMT. The original cast returns with an all-new season in February.

PARTY DOWN SOUTH 2 follows a rowdy group of eight as they arrive in Biloxi, Miss. ready to shotgun the summer. Their time in Biloxi quickly proves to be filled with mud pits, hook-ups, hangovers and a whole lot of drama as they get to know each other, party together and form close-knit relationships that will last even after the final keg has been kicked. A new episode of PARTY DOWN SOUTH 2 premieres Thursday, November 27 at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
