Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: Cowboys/Eagles Matchup Continues "Sunday Night Football" Reign for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/14/14):

NBC (17.901 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.2, #1) was the network to beat on Sunday with its usual mix of "Football Night in America #1" (6.883 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.2, #6), "Football Night in America #2" (10.294 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 3.4, #5), "Football Night in America #3" (16.925 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 5.6, #3) and "Sunday Night Football" (21.822 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 7.7, #1).

The silver then went to FOX (6.815 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) and its mix of "NFL Overrun" (17.143 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 5.8, #2), "The OT" (9.517 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 3.5, #4), a repeat "The Simpsons" (5.037 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 2.0, #7), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (3.531 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.5, #11), a repeat "Family Guy" (3.136 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T12) and "Bob's Burgers" (2.526 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T15).

Next up was CBS (9.087 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) with a new "60 Minutes" (11.567 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8) followed by the return of "Undercover Boss" (8.949 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8) plus new episodes from "The Mentalist" (8.413 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #14) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (7.417 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T15).

And finally, ABC (5.977 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) was out of the hunt with its trio of "Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years" (2.931 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.5, #17), the fall finale of "Once Upon a Time" (5.645 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8) and "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014" (7.666 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T12).

FOX (10.999 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.1, #1) pulled in front on Sunday thanks to its mix of "NFL Overrun" (21.376 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.9, #1), "The OT" (19.498 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 6.5, #2), "The Simpsons" (8.383 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 3.5, #5), "Bob's Burgers" (5.530 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T8), "Family Guy" (6.267 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 3.0, #6) and "American Dad" (4.938 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T8).

NBC (12.196 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.0, #2) then had to settle for second place among adults 18-49 despite its lineup of "Football Night in America #1" (5.394 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.6, #14), "Football Night in America #2" (6.724 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.1, #10), "Football Night in America #3" (12.655 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 4.0, #4) and "Sunday Night Football" (14.559 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.9, #3).
