Regarding this morning's Nielsens, note that the fast-national ratings that came in at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT are not time zone-adjusted and typically understate live NFL telecasts. Despite that, NBC is currently #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key measures - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
· In metered-market results, which accurately reflect time-zone adjustments, last night's Seattle Seahawks-Arizona Cardinals "Sunday Night Football" telecast averaged a 12.8 rating, 21 share from 8:30-11:15 p.m. ET in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research, as NBC won primetime in metered-market households and in 18-49 in the Local People Meter markets by wide margins.
· The 12.8/21 for the Seahawks' 35-6 win over the Cardinals is up +3% from the Bears-Eagles "SNF" game on the same night last year (12.4/21)
· The game's 51.9/77 local rating in Seattle is the best ever in that market for an NFL regular-season primetime game, and the 35.2/54 local rating in Phoenix is best ever for a Cardinals "Sunday Night Football" game in that market.
· Top local ratings for the Seahawks-Cardinals game on NBC were: Seattle, 51.9/77; Phoenix, 35.2/54; Portland, 22.3/39; Las Vegas, 21.6/32; Denver, 15.9/26; San Diego, 15.9/30; Sacramento, 15.8/26; Milwaukee, 15.2/23; Richmond, 15.2/23; and Albuquerque, 14.3/24..
