Season Premiere of "The Celebrity Apprentice" Is Its Top-Rated Episode Since March 4, 2012 in 18-49
NBC spins the numbers for Sunday, January 4.

[via press release from NBC]

Sunday Results:

· The season premiere of "The Celebrity Apprentice" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) generated significant sampling heading into tonight's regular-slot premiere, jumping +35% versus the prior "Apprentice" debut in 18-49 (1.7/4 from 9-11 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013) and +32% in total viewers (6.790 million vs. 5.150 million).

· This is the top-rated episode of "Celebrity Apprentice" since March 4, 2012 in 18-49 (2.3/6) and most-watched since the May 20, 2012 finale (6.864 million).

· Excluding sports and the Golden Globes, the 2.3 is NBC's top rating in the time period in two years (since a 3.0 for a "Biggest Loser" preview on Jan. 6, 2013). It's also NBC's top total-viewer result in the slot for an in-season Sunday since that same date, excluding sports and the Golden Globes.

· The season debut of "Celebrity Apprentice" beat NBC's non-sports average the slot last season by +64% in 18-49 (2.3 vs. 1.4, non-sports, L+SD) and by +30% in total viewers (6.790 million vs. 5.218 million).

· The Sunday season premiere of "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) tripled its rating from the show's first half-hour to its fourth (from a 0.7 to a 2.1) and grew by +170% in adults 25-54 (1.0 to 2.7) and by +107% or more than 4.4 million persons in total viewers (4.2 million to 8.6 million). For its fourth half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m., "Dateline" tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in women 18-49 (with a 2.4 rating) and ranked #1 outright among those networks in women 25-54 (3.1).

· This is currently "Dateline's" most-watched Sunday season premiere in five years (since averaging 6.265 million on Jan. 10, 2010). Versus the show's year-ago Sunday debut, "Dateline" is up +6% (6.239 million vs. 5.907 million). "Dateline" equaled last year's season premiere in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs 1.3) and was up +6% in adults 25-54 (1.7 to 1.8).

· For any Sunday "Dateline," the 1.3 matches the show's highest rating since Jan. 6, 2013 (1.5) and the 6.239 million is "Dateline's" top result since Feb. 12, 2012 (6.788 million).
