HALLMARK CHANNEL MAINTAINS ITS STRONGHOLD ON SATURDAY NIGHTS

Network's Latest Original Movie Premiere, A Novel Romance, Elevates Hallmark Channel to be the Most-Watched and Highest-Rated Network in Cable Among HHs and Total Viewers in the 9-11pm Time Period

Hallmark Channel's original programming continues to take the lead on Saturday nights with the January 10th premiere of A Novel Romance earning a 2.1 HH rating and 2.2 million total viewers. The film was the #1 HH rated program of the day, catapulting Hallmark Channel to become the #1 HH rated cable network in primetime. Additionally, in its 9-11pm time period, A Novel Romance propelled Hallmark Channel to be the most-watched and highest-rated network among HHs and total viewers.

"The continuing success of Hallmark Channel's original programming points to a strong demand for our unique brand of family friendly storytelling," said Michelle Vicary, EVP, Programming & Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "Between our original movies and series, Saturday nights on Hallmark Channel have become a top destination on cable for viewers - and with fresh content on the network virtually every day in 2015, we are delivering more of what our audience loves than ever before."

In A Novel Romance, Liam Bradley (Dylan Bruce), a romance novelist with a nom d 'plume, retreats to a small town to find inspiration for the follow-up to his previous bestselling books. He instead finds himself falling in love with Sophie Atkinson (Amy Acker), a local book reviewer, herself recovering from a relationship with another public figure. The two struggle with their fears of revealing truths about themselves - just as the writer's public revelation from behind his pseudonym is about to take place, threatening their romance.
