ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Starts 2015 with a 5-Week High in Adults 18-49

Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's weekly numbers:

During the first week of 2015 (week of 1/5/15), ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live attracted its largest overall audience (2.548 million) in 4 weeks and hit a 5-week high in Adults 18-49 (757,000) - since the weeks of 12/8/14 and 12/1/14, respectively. Conversely, despite airing originals on all 5 days of the week, NBC's The Tonight Starring Jimmy Fallon was down from the prior week's all-repeat line-up in Adults 18-49 (1.240 million vs. 1.271 million) to draw its smallest young adult audience in 5 weeks - since the week of 12/1/14.

· ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live was the week's #2 late-night talk show in Adults 18-49 (757,000).

With its late-night lineup of Jimmy Kimmel Live at 11:35pm and Nightline at 12:35am, ABC posted its strongest Adult 18-49 performance (654,000) in 5 weeks during the first week of 2015 - since the week of 12/1/14.

· ABC beat CBS in late-night by 7% in Adults 18-49 (654,000 vs. 612,000) and edged out NBC by 2% in Total Viewers (2.211 million vs. 2.166 million) to rank as the week's #2 broadcaster in both Nielsen measures.

"Nightline" is #1 for the Week

"Nightline" Ranks #1 in Total Viewers 11 of Last 13 Weeks

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.561 million) during the week of January 5, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" has taken the top spot in Total Viewers in 11 of the last 13 weeks. "Nightline beat CBS' "The Late Late Show" (+203,000) and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (+153,000) in overall viewers. In addition, "Nightline" led the CBS program in Adults 25-54 (+91,000) and Adults 18-49 (+90,000).

"Nightline's" Friday airing (1.799 million - 1/9/15) stood as the most-watched telecast of the week, outdrawing every telecast of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

Season to date, ABC News' "Nightline" ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.700 million), outdelivering CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson"/The Late Late Show " (+244,000) and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (+132,000).

Note: Drew Carey was the guest host for the week for CBS' "The Late Late Show."
