Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: Dramas Top Viewers, Demos for CBS

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/17/15):

CBS (13.706 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) was the network to beat on Tuesday with new episodes of "NCIS" (17.706 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1), "NCIS: New Orleans" (14.311 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and "Person of Interest" (9.101 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5).

FOX (4.112 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then claimed the silver with the penultimate week of "MasterChef Junior" (5.413 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.8, #4) followed by new episodes of "New Girl" (3.110 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) and "The Mindy Project" (2.512 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12).

Next up was ABC (4.143 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with a new "Fresh Off the Boat" (6.138 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) followed by the premiere of "Repeat After Me" (4.338 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6), a new "Marvel's Agent Carter" (4.135 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) and the special "Countdown to the Oscars: 15 Movies That Changed American Cinema" (3.055 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T15).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.706 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4) served up fresh installments of "Parks & Recreation" (2.928 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.2, #11), another "Parks & Recreation" (2.480 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12), "Marry Me" (2.067 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T15), "About a Boy" (2.384 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #17) and "Chicago Fire" (6.188 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6).

And finally, new episodes of "The Flash" (3.705 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) and "Supernatural" (2.293 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.9, #14) closed out the evening on The CW (2.999 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "The Flash" posted a 0.9 rating while "Supernatural" delivered a 0.9 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.4/7; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/18/14):

NBC (18.473 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1) was still the network to beat on Tuesday with its primetime portion of the "2014 Olympic Winter Games" (18.473 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1).

FOX (9.625 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #2) then took home the silver with a special two-hour "American Idol" (9.625 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.7, #2).

Next up was CBS (8.068 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with repeats of "NCIS" (9.831 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (7.979 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and "Person of Interest" (6.395 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.712 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up repeats of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.712 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #6), "The Goldbergs" (2.489 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) and "Trophy Wife" (2.026 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) plus a new "Killer Women" (3.167 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9).

And finally, encores of "The Vampire Diaries" (0.798 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "Star-Crossed" (1.048 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) on The CW (0.923 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Diaries" delivered a 0.3 rating while "Star-Crossed" posted a 0.3 rating.
