ABC's Kimmel is Up For the 2nd Straight Week and Posts Double-Digit Year-to-Year Growth

Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's numbers, ahead of the regular press release:

During the week of February 16, 2015, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live posted its 2nd consecutive week of growth in both Total Viewers (+1%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%).

ABC's Kimmel was up over the year-ago week (w/o 2/17/14) by double digits in Total Viewers (+23%) and Adults 18-49 (+16%).

· Jimmy Kimmel Live was the week's #2 late-night talk show in Adults 18-49, behind only NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. during the week of February 16, 2015, ABC grew for the 2nd straight week in Total Viewers (+3% - 2.483 million vs. 2.419 million) and Adults 18-49 (+4% - 730,000 vs. 699,000).

ABC posted solid double-digit gains over the same week last year (1.989 million and 631,000 on w/o 2/17/14) in Viewers (+25%) and young adults (+16%).

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F 11:35 p.m.)

During the week of February 16, 2015, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" posted its 2nd consecutive week of growth in both Total Viewers (+1% - 2.784 million vs. 2.756 million) and Adults 18-49 (+5% - 822,000 vs. 783,000).

ABC's "Kimmel" was up over the year-ago week (2.255 million and 706,000 on w/o 2/17/14) by double digits in Total Viewers (+23%) and Adults 18-49 (+16%). In fact, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" grew its overall audience year to year for the 4th week in a row.

· ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was the week's No. 2 late-night talk show in Adults 18-49 (822,000), behind only NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

"Nightline" (M-F 12:35 a.m.)

For the 2nd week in a row, ABC News' "Nightline" won over its CBS and NBC competition in Total Viewers (1.734 million) for the week of February 16, 2015. The ABC News late program has taken the top spot in Total Viewers in 16 of the past 18 weeks. "Nightline led CBS' "The Late Late Show" (+497,000) and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (+52,000).

"Nightline" posted double-digit increases year to year (1.339 million, 622,000, and 447,000, respectively, on w/o 2/17/14) across all key target demos: Total Viewers (+29%), Adults 25-54 (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+13%).

"Nightline" held the week's top 12:35 a.m. telecast with its Thursday airing (2/19/15) in Total Viewers (2.108 million), beating every telecast of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

For the 2nd week in a row, ABC News' "Nightline" won in Total Viewers (1.734 million) for the week of February 16, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. The ABC News late program has taken the top spot in Total Viewers in 16 of the past 18 weeks. "Nightline led CBS' "The Late Late Show" (+497,000) and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (+52,000).

"Nightline" posted double-digit increases year to year (1.339 million, 622,000, and 447,000, respectively, on w/o 2/17/14) across all key target demos: Total Viewers (+29%), Adults 25-54 (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+13%).
