"48 HOURS: DEVIL'S ISLAND" POSTS WEEK-TO-WEEK DOUBLE-DIGIT PERCENTAGE GAINS IN KEY NEWS DEMOS AND VIEWERS

"48 Hours" Is Tuesday's #1 Broadcast at 10:00 PM with Viewers

48 HOURS: "Devil's Island" posted week-to-week double-digit percentage gains with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - as well as viewers and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 23. 48 HOURS was Tuesday's #1 broadcast at 10:00 PM with viewers.

At 10:00 PM, 48 HOURS (R) delivered 5.86 million viewers to finish first in that category, and posted a 1.5/04 with adults 25-54, and a 1.0/03 with adults18-49. Compared to last week, 48 HOURS was up +36% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/03), +43% in adults 18-49 (from 0.7/02) and added +910,000 viewers (from 4.95m, +18%). Compared to the same night last year (PERSON OF INTEREST (R)), 48 HOURS was up +50% in adults 25-54, +13% in adults 18-49 and +23% in viewers.

Tuesday's broadcast featured Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS' updated investigation into the death of Yvonne Baldelli, who moved to Bocas del Toro in Panama with her boyfriend, Brian Brimager. Brimager returned to California alone, and Baldelli was never seen again alive. The investigation into Baldelli's disappearance would lead through the swamps of Island Bocas del Toro in Panama and back to San Diego, where they learned Brimager was leading a second life and had gotten married. Then, in April, U.S. officials dropped a bombshell - they would implement a little-used federal law to charge Brimager for Baldelli's murder in the United States even though the crime allegedly occurred in Panama. Brimager pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and all felonies related to Baldelli's death. He is awaiting trial.

48 HOURS: "Devil's Island" is produced by Chris O'Connell. Cindy Cesare is the field producer. Suzanne Allen is the senior coordinating producer. Marlon Disla, Mike Vele and Alan Miller are the editors. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
