FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP TODAY - THIRD STAR SPECIAL, an impromptu celebration honoring the U.S. Women's National Team's first FIFA Women's World Cup championship since 1999, is the most-watched non-live event weekday afternoon telecast in FOX Sports 1 history. The live one-hour program aired Monday, July 6, at 1:00 PM ET, just 15 hours after the USWNT claimed its record third FIFA Women's World Cup trophy.
Highlighted by the unveiling of the USWNT's three-star jerseys, the THIRD STAR SPECIAL attracted 402,000 viewers and featured all 23 members of the squad and head coach Jill Ellis. The program included candid and emotional player and coach interviews, highlights of the tournament, champagne celebrations and more.
