"In The Cut" Viewership Explodes in Week Two, Second Episode & Series Become Most-Watched Original in Bounce TV's History

ATLANTA, Sept. 3, 2015 -- Joining Empire in the rare company of television series that increased ratings from week one to week two, the second episode of the new Bounce TV Original Series In The Cut increased viewership tremendously over its series premiere episode to become Bounce TV's most-watched original series telecast to date. The explosion in viewership has driven In The Cut to become the most-watched original series in Bounce TV's history to date.

The second episode premiere telecast of In The Cut on Tues. Sept. 1 at 9:00 p.m. (ET) delivered: 298K Households (+28% vs. series premiere telecast), 208K Adults 18-49 (+21%), 185K Adults 25-54 (+35%) and 458,000 Total Viewers (+49%) - all new records for a Bounce TV Original series telecast, edging out the hit show Mann & Wife.

In The Cut is now the most-watched original series in Bounce TV history averaging: 266K Households, 190K Adults 18-49, 161K Adults 25-54 and 383K Persons 2+.

In The Cut stars Dorien Wilson (The Parkers, Dream On), Ken Lawson (The Parkers) and also features Jackee Harry (Sister, Sister) and John Marshall Jones (The Smart Guy). The show centers on Jay Weaver (Wilson) who owns several businesses in a strip mall in San Diego and spends most of his time working in his barbershop, Jay's Chop Shop. Jay also co-owns a beauty salon a few doors away - Nadine's Shop - named for his ex-wife (Harry) who still runs it. One day, a young man named Kenny Clark (Lawson) shows up out of nowhere claiming to be Jay's 31-year-old illegitimate son from a short-lived fling. Kenny sticks around and begins to take on a role in the family business as he and Jay start to bond. Jay's long-time sidekick Clevon "Smitty" Smith (Jones) also works at the barber shop and adds to the comedy -- as well as the occasional drama -- that comes into their lives.

In The Cut was created by Bentley Kyle Evans and is produced by Evans and partner Trenton Gumbs, both of whom produce the current Bounce TV hit original series Family Time. New episodes of In The Cut premiere Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. (ET).
