NBC'S 'TALENT' AND 'GAME NIGHT' ARE THE #1-2 SHOWS OF THE NIGHT ON THE BIG 4 IN EVERY KEY DEMO (INCLUDING A TIE FOR #2 IN MEN 25-54)
'HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT' IS CURRENTLY MATCHING ITS TOP RATING SINCE AUG. 11
'TALENT' TOPS THE SAME NIGHT LAST YEAR
NBC WINS TUESDAY AMONG THE BIG 4 IN ALL KEY MEASURES, SWEEPS SIX OF SIX HALF-HOURS AMONG THOSE NETS IN ADULTS 18-49
Tuesday Results:
NBC swept Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks, winning the night in all key categories and claiming six of six half-hours in adults 18-49, with "America's Got Talent" and "Hollywood Game Night" the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those nets in every key category (including a tie for #2 in men 25-54).
· "America's Got Talent" (2.0/7 in 18-49, 10.4 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in every key measure. "Talent" is currently running within 9% of last week's 2.2 rating in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and within 13% of last week's 2.3 in official nationals (which matched "Talent's" high since Aug. 11), and note that "Talent" is close to rounding up to a 2.1 (currently reporting a 2.04 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).
· "America's Got Talent" is up +5% versus its 18-49 rating on the same night last year in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.9 from 9-11 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2014) and is also up +5% versus its year-ago total-viewer result (10.363 million vs. 9.832 million). Heading into last night, "Talent" was up +4% summer to date versus one year ago in 18-49 (2.9 vs. 2.8, "most current") and up +8% in total viewers (12.5 million vs. 11.5 million).
· "America's Got Talent" is doubling the time period's #2 rating on the Big 4 in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.0 for CBS's #2 dramas).
· "America's Got Talent" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- Tuesday's "Talent" has grown by +29% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.38 to a 3.08) and 2.1 million viewers overall (10.7 million to 12.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· "Hollywood Game Night" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is currently matching last week's rating in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.3) and is up +5% in total viewers (4.929 million vs. 4.695 million), to equal the top "HGN" 18-49 rating since Aug. 11 and deliver the show's most-watched episode since that same date, pending updates.
· "Hollywood Game Night" won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key demographic and is currently leading the hour's #2 show on ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 by a +30% margin (1.3 vs. 1.0 for CBS's second hour of "Zoo," pending updates).
· "Hollywood Game Night" ranks as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in all key demos (including a tie in men 25-54), behind only NBC's "Talent."
· "Hollywood Game Night" will add significant viewership via time-shifting -- "HGN" is increasing by +20% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.32 to a 1.58) and 664,000 viewers overall (4.7 million to 5.4 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 4.9/13; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.4/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 1.5/8; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) trailed CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.3/5, delayed by an extended "Late Show"). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/3, delayed by an extended "Late Show").
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
