Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "Sunday Night Football" Opens Season on Top for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/13/15):

NBC (7:30-11P) (22.107 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.3, #1) dominated the competition on Sunday with the return of "Football Night in America #1" (7.184 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.4, #6), "Football Night in America #2" (13.466 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 5.0, #4), "Football Night in America #3" (18.898 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 6.9, #2) and "Sunday Night Football" (24.477 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 9.2, #1).

CBS (8.115 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then took home a distant second place with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (19.704 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 6.2, #3), "60 Minutes" (11.130 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.8, #5), "Big Brother 17" (6.768 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.2, #7), "Madam Secretary" (3.227 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T15) and "CSI: Cyber" (2.966 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T15).

Next up was ABC (5.662 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.632 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) and "Shark Tank" (4.046 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) followed by "The 95th Miss America Pageant" (6.985 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8).

And finally, repeats of "Bob's Burgers" (3.942 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #9), another "Bob's Burgers" (2.116 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), "The Simpsons" (2.303 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.468 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T15), "Family Guy" (1.581 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) and "The Last Man on Earth" (1.206 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.5, #18) closed out the evening on FOX (2.103 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4).

CBS (11.475 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.2, #2) then claimed the silver with a full hour of "NFL Overrun" (21.445 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.7, #2) followed by "60 Minutes" (10.830 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.8, #5), "Big Brother 16" (7.312 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T6) and "Unforgettable" (6.314 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T13).

Next up was FOX (2.685 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and repeats of "Bob's Burgers" (3.025 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T13), another "Bob's Burgers" (2.379 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 1.0, #15), "The Simpsons" (2.653 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.2, #12), another "The Simpsons" (2.795 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T9), the return of "American Dad" (2.621 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T9) and another "American Dad" (2.634 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T9).
