Seth Meyers Ties Kimmel in 18-49 Despite Starting an Hour Later

Meyers and Carson Daly Deliver Their Most-Watched Weeks in 18 Months

NEW YORK - Oct. 8, 2015 - "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" has won the late-night ratings week of Sept. 28-Oct. 2 by a +41% margin in adults 18-49 versus CBS's "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," the biggest margin to date for Fallon versus Colbert. For the week, Fallon scored a 1.03 rating in that key demo while Colbert averaged a 0.73.

In the prior three weeks since Colbert debuted, Fallon's margins in 18-49 have been +28% for the week of Sept. 7-11, +38% for the week of Sept. 14-18 and +35% for the week of Sept. 21-25.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" tied ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in adult 18-49 rating (0.55 each) despite starting an hour later.

For the week, both Meyers and "Last Call with Carson Daly" delivered their most-watched weeks in 18 months. For Meyers, his 1.795 million viewer average for the week was "Late Night's" highest since 1.995 million for March 24-28, 2014, and for Daly, his 996,000 was tops for "Last Call" since that same week (1.013 million).

For a full five-day ratings week, it's Fallon's most-watched since mid-July (3.728 million, best since July 13-17, 3.740 million). This comparison excludes the high-rated four-day holiday week of Sept. 7-11 (when "Tonight" guests included Donald Trump and Justin Timberlake, and Thursday's high-rated NFL overrun boosted ratings), with Monday's Labor Day results excluded. Also for a full five-day ratings week, it's Meyers' top-rated in seven months in 18-49 (0.55 rating, best since Feb. 16-20, 0.56, excludes Labor Day week).
