Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos with "Voice," "Fire"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/13/15):

NBC (7.251 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday with its revised lineup of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (4.475 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10), "The Voice" (9.913 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and "Chicago Fire" (7.366 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3).

CBS (12.027 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then was a competitive second with its trio of "NCIS" (15.733 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2), "NCIS: New Orleans" (12.250 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) and "Limitless" (8.098 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5).

Next up was ABC (3.464 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and originals from "The Muppets" (4.497 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T8), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.077 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.720 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5) plus a repeat "Shark Tank" (2.386 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.637 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4) offered up new episodes of "Grandfathered" (3.131 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11), "The Grinder" (2.510 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #13) and "Scream Queens" (2.454 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11).

And finally, week two of "The Flash" (3.318 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T8) and "iZombie" (1.379 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #15) on The CW (2.349 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/14/14):

NBC (8.677 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday thanks to a new "The Voice" (11.892 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.3, #1) followed by the premieres of "Marry Me" (7.764 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.3, #3) and "About a Boy" (6.162 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6) plus a new "Chicago Fire" (7.178 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.0, #5).

CBS (14.239 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then claimed a silver medal with its mix of "NCIS" (17.086 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #2), "NCIS: New Orleans" (15.902 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #4) and "Person of Interest" (9.731 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #9).

Next up was The CW (3.159 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with week two of "The Flash" (4.119 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T7) and "Supernatural" (2.199 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T12). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "The Flash" posted a 1.0 rating while "Supernatural" delivered a 1.0 rating.

Meanwhile, ABC (4.179 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) served up originals from "Selfie" (3.515 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T12), "Manhattan Love Story" (2.956 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #15), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (4.624 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T7) and "Forever" (4.678 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #11).

And finally, repeats of "The Simpsons" (1.965 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.8, #16) and "Bob's Burgers" (1.530 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.7, #17) led into new episodes of "New Girl" (2.262 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10) and "The Mindy Project" (2.212 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T12) on FOX (1.992 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5).
