Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ALCS Opens on Top for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/16/15):

FOX (6.200 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was the demo champ on Friday with its presentation of the "ALCS, Game 1" (6.200 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1).

ABC (5.709 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then claimed the silver with new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (6.539 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2), "Dr. Ken" (5.793 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2), "Shark Tank" (5.742 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) and "20/20" (5.220 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5).

Next up was CBS (8.396 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and its trio of "The Amazing Race" (5.952 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.894 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8) and "Blue Bloods" (10.345 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.913 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up a new "Undateable" (3.236 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9), the premiere of "Truth Be Told" (2.635 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (4.402 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9).

And finally, originals from "Reign" (0.982 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) and "America's Next Top Model" (0.780 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) on The CW (0.881 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/17/14):

ABC (6.097 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the demo champ on Friday thanks to its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.712 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3), "Cristela" (5.968 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Shark Tank" (7.270 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "20/20" (4.682 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8).

CBS (8.720 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was a close second place with originals from "The Amazing Race" (6.609 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.137 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4) and "Blue Bloods" (10.415 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4).

Next up was NBC (4.761 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with encores of "Marry Me" (3.030 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9) and "About a Boy" (2.653 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) plus a new two-hour "Dateline NBC" (5.722 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.659 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up a new "Utopia" (1.883 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9) and a repeat "Gotham" (1.436 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12).

And finally, an encore of "Jane the Virgin" (1.271 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) and a new "America's Next Top Model" (1.058 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) closed out the evening on The CW (1.164 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said duo posted a 0.3 and 0.5 rating, respectively.
