Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: Game 2 of the World Series Keeps FOX in Front

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/28/15):

FOX (12.524 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.6, #1) was not surprisingly the top draw on Wednesday with its coverage of the "World Series, Game 2" (12.524 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.6, #1).

ABC (5.824 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then took home a distant second with its mix of "The Middle" (7.338 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4), "The Goldbergs" (6.863 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2), a repeat "Modern Family" (6.352 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4), "Black-ish" (6.099 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4) and "Nashville" (4.147 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10).

Next up was CBS (7.406 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and its trio of "Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance" (8.442 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3), "Criminal Minds" (7.673 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7) and "Code Black" (6.103 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10).

Meanwhile, NBC (6.241 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offerd up new episodes of "The Mysteries of Laura" (6.406 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T10), "Chicago PD" (5.993 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #9) and a second "Chicago PD" (6.326 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8).

And finally, originals from "Arrow" (2.810 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #13) and "Supernatural" (2.303 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #14) on The CW (2.557 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Meanwhile, NBC (5.405 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) served up a new "The Mysteries of Laura" (7.549 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10) followed by repeats fo "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.621 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12) and "Chicago PD" (4.046 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13).

And finally, new episodes of "Arrow" (2.765 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #11) and "The 100" (1.868 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #14) on The CW (2.317 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.9 rating while the latter posted a 0.4 rating.
