Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Pulls in Front with "Dancing with the Stars" Finale

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/24/15):

ABC (11.451 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) pulled into the top spot on Tuesday with its annual telecast of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (7.502 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) followed by the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (13.425 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1).

NBC (8.258 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then had to settle for second place with week two of its trio of "The Voice" (9.897 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T3), "Chicago Med" (7.567 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T5) and "Chicago Fire" (7.311 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T5).

Next up was CBS (11.418 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) and originals from "NCIS" (16.028 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T3), "NCIS: New Orleans" (11.693 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7) and "Limitless" (6.534 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.273 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up new episodes from "Grandfathered" (2.781 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9), "The Grinder" (2.316 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11) and "Scream Queens" (1.998 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10).

And finally, the special "Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown" (1.497 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and a repeat "The Flash" (0.941 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) on The CW (1.219 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/25/14):

ABC (14.312 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) was the network to beat for the first time this season on Tuesday thanks to its "Dancing with the Stars: Road to the Finals" (11.250 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #5) recap and the two-hour season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (15.843 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1).

CBS (12.915 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then took home the silver with its trio of "NCIS" (15.686 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2), "NCIS: New Orleans" (14.195 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T3) and "Person of Interest" (8.864 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #6).

Next up was NBC (6.187 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and its mix of "The Voice" (9.179 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.3, #T3), "Marry Me" (3.746 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T11), "About a Boy" (3.101 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #13) and "Chicago Fire" (5.959 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.299 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offered up new episodes of "MasterChef Junior" (4.044 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8), "New Girl" (2.767 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #10) and "The Mindy Project" (2.339 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T11).

And finally, originals from "The Flash" (3.408 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.4, #9) and "Supernatural" (2.290 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #14) on The CW (2.849 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "The Flash" posted a 0.9 rating while "Supernatural" delivered a 0.6 rating.
