ABC Wins Friday - Shark Tank Tops the Night - Dr. Ken Returns Up and Improves its Slot
ABC Friday Prime (8-11pm - 5.7 million and 1.3/5 in AD18-49): With the return of its 8-9pm comedies from the prior week's preemption, Shark Tank and 20/20, ABC won Friday in Adults 18-49 (1.3/5), ranking #1 on the night for the 4th week running. And ABC's Shark Tank finished as Friday's #1 TV show for its 5th straight original airing among young adults (1.5/6).
Last Man Standing (8-8:30pm - 6.7 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49): At 8pm, Last Man Standing returned from the prior week's preemption at #1 in its half-hour with viewers (6.7 million) and young adults (1.2/5). The ABC comedy remained even with its last original in Adults 18-49.
Dr. Ken (8:30-9pm - 4.9 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49): At 8:30pm, ABC's Dr. Ken was up 10% from its most recent telecast two weeks ago in Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 1.0/4) and improved its half-hour by 22% over original comedy programming on the year-ago night (0.9/3 for Cristela on 2/20/15).
Shark Tank (9-10pm - 6.2 million and 1.5/6 in AD18-49): Shooting up from its Adult 18-49 lead-in at 9pm (+36%), ABC's Shark Tank topped its hour by 36% over runner-up CBS' Hawaii Five-0 (1.5/6 vs. 1.1/4).
20/20 (10-11pm - 5.3 million and 1.2/5 in AD18-49): At 10pm, ABC's 20/20 dominated NBC's Dateline head to head in the hour to stand as Friday's #1 newsmagazine. From 10-11pm, the ABC newsmagazine beat its NBC newsmagazine competition by 1.0 million viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.3 million), by 50% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5 vs. 0.8/3) and by 42% in Adults 25-54 (1.7/5 vs. 1.2/4). It was the 4th straight week for 20/20 to deliver more viewers than Dateline in the hour.
