Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Leads the Night Among Adults 18-49

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/4/16):

ABC (4.709 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) was the network to beat among adults 18-49 on Friday with its mix of a repeat "Last Man Standing" (5.414 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), a new "Dr. Ken" (4.776 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1), a repeat "Shark Tank" (4.722 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) and "20/20" (4.311 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

CBS (6.503 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then was a close second place with a new "The Amazing Race" (5.779 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) alongside second runs of "Hawaii Five-0" (6.413 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9) and "Blue Bloods" (7.319 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

Next up was NBC (3.955 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with a repeat "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (2.975 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and originals from "Grimm" (4.209 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4) and "Dateline NBC" (4.681 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.582 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Sleepy Hollow" (3.009 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10) and "Second Chance" (2.155 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.079 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13) and "The Originals" (0.900 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13) on The CW (0.989 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (8.994 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) pulled into the top spot on Friday with its mix of "The Amazing Race" (6.158 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.641 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4) and "Blue Bloods" (11.183 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2).

ABC (5.653 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then claimed the silver with a special earlier "Shark Tank" (8.200 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and the premiere of "In an Instant" (4.380 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6).

Next up was NBC (5.633 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with a repeat of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.180 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) followed by "Dateline NBC" (6.360 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.284 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up fresh installments from "World's Funniest Fails" (2.761 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #7) and "Glee" (1.808 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

And finally, a new "Hart of Dixie" (1.121 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.821 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.050 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) closed out the evening on The CW (1.028 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.5, 0.3 and 0.4 rating, respectively.
