ABC's Beyond the Tank Draws Most Viewers Since January; Shark Tank is Friday's #1 Show in AD18-49
ABC Friday Prime (8-11pm - 4.7 million and 0.9/4 in AD18-49): ABC ran in a virtual tie with CBS and its season finale of Blue Bloods for #1 on Friday in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4 vs. 1.0/4). Please Note: Overall Adult 18-49 Friday primetime TV Usage declined -7% week to week (24.1 vs. 25.8).
· At 8pm, the Friday time-period premiere of ABC's Beyond the Tank surged by 1.7 million viewers (3.6 million vs. 1.9 million) from its most recent telecast this past Tuesday (5/3/16) at 10pm and held even in Adults 18-49 (0.6/3). In fact topping its last 7 original airings, Beyond the Tank marked its most-watched telecast since January - since 1/28/16 on Thursday at 8pm.
· Doubling its lead-in at 9pm (+100%) to win its hour, ABC's Shark Tank continued its run as Friday's #1 TV series in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5).
· At 10pm, ABC's 20/20 ranked as Friday's #1 newsmagazine, outperforming NBC's special 90-minute Dateline (9:30-11pm) in Total Viewers (+11% - 5.2 million vs. 4.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+11% - 1.0/4 vs 0.9/4) and Adults 25-54 (+8% - 1.4/5 vs. 1.3/5). The ABC newsmagazine delivered a larger audience on the night than Dateline for the 6th-consecutive week.
