SERIES SPARKS NEW TIPS IN THE ACTIVE INVESTIGATION INTO SIX OPEN CASES IN CHIILLICOTHE, OHIO

(Silver Spring, Md.) - The Monday, June 6 premiere of Investigation Discovery's (ID) first serialized docu-series THE VANISHING WOMEN was the network's best series debut ever for delivery of P2+ (2.042 million) and HH (1.679 million) on L+3 Day viewing. The premiere catapulted ID into the #4 spot in all of ad-supported cable in both demos for the timeslot that night - only behind fully distributed networks TNT, USA and MTV. THE VANISHING WOMEN premiere was also ID's top Primetime telecast ever for delivery of HH, and Monday 6/6/16 was ID's best night ever for Prime delivery among P2+ (1.582 million) and HH (1.29 million).

THE VANISHING WOMEN documents the past and present work of an active criminal investigation into six open cases of missing women in Chillicothe, Ohio. According to the Chillicothe Police Department, the series has generated at least ten new tips on the open cases since its premiere last week. While each of the victims are believed to have known each other in some way, four of the six women have been found dead while two remain missing, leaving some members of the local community to fear a serial killer. Per families of the missing and deceased women, the series has been instrumental in rejuvenating the public's interest in these cases.
