Travel Channel's "Expedition Unknown" Posts Highest-Rated Episode of Second Season

TRAVEL CHANNEL'S "EXPEDITION UNKNOWN" POSTS HIGHEST-RATED EPISODE OF SECOND SEASON

NEW YORK (June 24, 2016) - Travel Channel's top-rated series "Expedition Unknown," featuring adventurer Josh Gates as he travels the world to uncover the truth behind captivating and unsolved stories, delivered its strongest performing episode of the season on Wednesday, June 22 at 9pm ET/PT. The episode, where Gates traveled to Austria to investigate notorious secrets from the WWII era, delivered more than 1.5 million total viewers and posted 140 percent ratings increase among P25-54 versus its year-ago time slot. It marked the series' highest-rated premiere in Season Two and the highest-rated episode since March 2015 - helping Travel Channel deliver its highest-rated Wednesday night since February 2016. The Season Two finale of Travel Channel's "Expedition Unknown" airs on Wednesday, July 6 at 9pm ET/PT.
