NBC Ratings: Rio Live Streaming Tops 1 Billion Minutes

Here are ratings notes from NBC Sports for Wednesday night based on metered-market results:

NBC Olympics Wednesday Overnight Notes

As usual, Total Audience Delivery (TAD) report later today will measure broader consumption of Rio Games - broadcast + cable + digital

NBC Olympics' live streaming for Rio 2016 topped 1 BILLION minutes (1.05B) on Wednesday - an Olympic first.

The 1.05 billion live streaming minutes via NBC Olympics.com and the NBC Sports app is up +232% from same point in '12.

NBC's Wednesday night Olympic coverage posted a 17.4/29 overnight - more than 3 times other Big 4 nets combined (5.1).

On NBCSN, U.S. men's hoops vs. Australia and Brazil-Denmark men's soccer led NBCSN primetime to Rio Olympics-best 1.41 overnight.

NBC's Wednesday primetime 8.9 rating among adults 18-49 more than quadruples the combined 1.9 rating for the other Big 4 nets.

Top local markets for NBC Olympics Wed night: Salt Lake 24.4/44; Denver 22.3/42; Indy 20.0/33; St. Louis 19.4/32; Columbus 19.2/32.
