Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC, Olympic Games Still Unstoppable

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/16/16):

NBC (23.817 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.8, #1) was of course the network to beat on Tuesday with its primetime portion of the "Olympic Games Rio 2016" (23.817 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.8, #1).

ABC (2.775 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a distant second with "Bachelor in Paradise" (4.324 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2), "Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise" (2.582 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and repeats of "The Middle" (1.511 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7) and "Fresh Off the Boat" (1.325 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

Next up was CBS (4.833 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its trio of "NCIS" (6.524 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3), "Zoo" (4.094 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (3.883 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.197 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up repeats of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.282 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T7), "New Girl" (0.921 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Lucifer" (1.292 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

And finally, second runs of "The Flash" (0.915 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "MADtv" (0.640 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) on The CW (0.777 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

NBC (8.737 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was Tuesday's top draw for the fifth week in a row with its mix of "America's Got Talent" (10.689 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) and "Hollywood Game Night" (4.833 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

The silver then went to CBS (6.574 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) and its trio of "NCIS" (8.211 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3), "Zoo" (5.810 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.702 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).

Next up was ABC (2.676 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and repeats of "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.944 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5), another "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.566 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6) and a new "Extreme Weight Loss" (2.637 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.795 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up an original "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" (2.353 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9) and repeats of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.243 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10) and "The Last Man on Earth" (1.230 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11).

And finally, second runs of "The Flash" (0.953 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and "iZombie" (0.628 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) on The CW (0.790 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former posted a 0.4 rating while the latter delivered a 0.2 rating.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
