Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/28/16):

NBC (5.020 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was back in front among adults 18-49 with its specials "The Timeline" (3.322 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) and "NFL Preseason: Cincinnati at Jacksonville" (5.586 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2).

FOX (2.764 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) then was the number two draw with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (5.452 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2), "The Simpsons" (3.350 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4), another "The Simpsons" (2.557 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.724 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10), "Family Guy" (2.034 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) and "The Last Man on Earth" (1.464 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13).

Next up was CBS (5.040 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its quartet of "60 Minutes" (7.832 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8), "Big Brother 18" (6.811 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1), "Madam Secretary" (3.249 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14) and "BrainDead" (2.270 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T15).

And finally, ABC (4.471 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) closed out the evening with its lineup of "We Day" (1.857 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T15), "Celebrity Family Feud" (5.669 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), "$100,000 Pyramid" (5.561 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6) and "Match Game" (4.798 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).
