Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "Sunday Night Football" Tops Charts on Night of Declines

Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/25/16):

NBC (16.656 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.0, #1) was of course the network to beat on Sunday with its usual mix of "Football Night in America #1" (6.661 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.9, #6), "Football Night in America #2" (8.848 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 3.0, #4), "Football Night in America #3" (14.657 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 5.3, #3) and "Sunday Night Football" (18.617 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 6.8, #1).

CBS (12.976 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) then was the number two draw with a full hour of "NFL Overrun" (19.525 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.4, #2) followed by the season premieres of "60 Minutes" (13.501 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (10.251 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8) plus a second "NCIS: Los Angeles" (8.628 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T10).

Next up was FOX (2.919 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with a repeat "Family Guy" (2.946 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.1, #14) alongside the return of "Bob's Burgers" (2.984 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T10), "The Simpsons" (3.672 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7), "Son of Zorn" (2.821 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T12), "Family Guy" (2.887 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.4, #9) and "The Last Man on Earth" (2.205 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.9, #17).

And finally, ABC (3.595 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) closed out the evening with its combination of "Once Upon a Time: Evil Reigns Once More" (2.832 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.6, #18) and the season openers to "Once Upon a Time" (3.888 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T12), "Secrets & Lies" (4.053 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T15) and "Quantico" (3.609 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T15).
