Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: World Series Still Big for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/1/16):

FOX (21.783 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.2, #1) was of course the network to beat on Wednesday with its coverage of the "World Series, Game 6" (21.783 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.2, #1).

NBC (7.234 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then had to settle for a distant second place with a "The Voice" (6.769 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4) recap followed by new episodes of "This Is Us" (8.386 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) and "Chicago Fire" (6.549 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4).

Next up was ABC (3.630 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with its mix of "The Middle" (5.382 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4), "American Housewife" (5.099 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.473 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8), "The Real O'Neals" (2.784 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.521 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12).

Meanwhile, CBS (8.421 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up repeats of "NCIS" (10.221 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #7), "Bull" (8.002 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (7.040 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

And finally, originals from "The Flash" (2.707 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and "No Tomorrow" (0.861 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) on The CW (1.784 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/3/15):

CBS (13.213 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) pulled into the top spot on Tuesday with new episodes of "NCIS" (17.777 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1), "NCIS: New Orleans" (14.027 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) and "Limitless" (7.837 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5).

NBC (7.073 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then snagged the silver with the season finale of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (4.993 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #10), a recap "The Voice" (8.147 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and a new "Chicago Fire" (8.080 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #4).

Next up was ABC (3.578 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with originals from "The Muppets" (4.547 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.398 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.827 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8) and "Wicked City" (2.435 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14).

Meanwhile, The CW (2.663 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) served up fresh installments of "The Flash" (3.733 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5) and "iZombie" (1.593 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15).

And finally, FOX (2.652 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) closed out the evening with new episodes of "Grandfathered" (3.173 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11), "The Grinder" (2.553 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13) and "Scream Queens" (2.442 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11).
