Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Charts in Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/18/16):

CBS (9.506 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) was still the top draw on Friday with its mix of "MacGyver" (8.195 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (10.008 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) and "Blue Bloods" (10.316 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2).

ABC (4.945 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) then claimed the silver with its lineup of "Last Man Standing" (6.471 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4), "Dr. Ken" (4.690 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8), "Shark Tank" (5.146 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) and "20/20" (4.110 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

Next up was NBC (4.430 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) with originals from "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (3.114 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9) and "Dateline NBC" (5.089 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.421 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Hell's Kitchen" (3.117 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7) and "The Exorcist" (1.726 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (0.942 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.524 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) closed out the night for The CW (0.733 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/20/15):

ABC (6.887 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the network to beat among adults 18-49 on Friday with new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (7.243 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "Dr. Ken" (6.105 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "Shark Tank" (6.940 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) and "20/20" (7.047 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2).
