New York, NY, March 27, 2017 - Emmy(R) Award-winning "RuPaul's Drag Race" shattered records on Friday night with its most watched episode ever.* Nearly one million viewers** tuned in for the season nine premiere which tripled the time slot on VH1*** while more than doubling last season's debut. ****

Additionally, the pop culture phenomenon broke the internet becoming the #1 most social show on television. Friday's telecast scored the series its highest twitter volume ever*****, and trended worldwide during the broadcast.
