NCAA March Madness Live Generates Record-Setting 4.4 Million Live Video Streams for Championship Game, Up 29% vs. 2016
CBS Sports and Turner Sports' coverage of last night's NCAA National Championship between North Carolina and Gonzaga on CBS scored a 14.5/24 rating/share in the metered markets, up +21% from last year, and the third highest rating for the National Championship since 2005. The game peaked with a 17.4/33 rating/share from 11:30-11:45 PM, ET.
Turner Sports and CBS Sports' coverage of the 2017 NCAA Tournament averaged a 7.2/15 rating/share, which is up +13% from last year. The 7.2/15 is tied as the second highest rating for the NCAA Tournament in the metered markets since 2005.
NCAA March Madness Live generated an all-time best 4.4 million live video streams for last night's Championship Game, an increase of 29% over last year. Overall, MML netted a record-setting 98 million live video streams for the NCAA Tournament, up +33%.
