Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Splits Demo Crown with ABC

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/13/17):

CBS (6.433 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) was the most-watched network on Thursday with new episodes from "The Big Bang Theory" (11.554 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1), "The Great Indoors" (6.330 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5), "Mom" (6.932 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4), "Life in Pieces" (5.417 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and "The Amazing Race" (4.183 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

Sharing in the demo honors was ABC (5.188 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) with fresh installments from "Grey's Anatomy" (7.059 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2), "Scandal" (5.352 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and "The Catch" (3.155 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10).

Next up was NBC (4.145 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and a special "Trial & Error" (2.674 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12), followed by new episodes of "Powerless" (2.041 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12), "Chicago Med" (6.164 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7) and "The Blacklist: Redemption" (3.915 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.597 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up originals from "MasterChef Junior" (3.276 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8) and "Kicking & Screaming" (1.919 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14).

And finally, new episodes of "Supernatural" (1.578 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) and "Riverdale" (0.874 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #16) on The CW (1.226 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) rounded out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (4/14/16):

ABC (6.916 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) staked claim to the top spot on Thursday with a new "Grey's Anatomy" (8.103 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T1), a second "Grey's Anatomy" (7.838 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T1) and "The Catch" (4.808 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8).

CBS (6.341 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then had to settle for second place with a repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (8.540 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3) followed by originals from "The Odd Couple" (7.204 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3), "Mom" (7.512 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3), "2 Broke Girls" (6.280 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3) and "Rush Hour" (4.256 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9).

Next up was NBC (4.592 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and its new lineup of "STRONG" (3.240 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11), "The Blacklist" (6.561 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #7) and "Game of Silence" (3.975 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.395 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up the return of "Bones" (4.357 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) and the launch of "American Grit" (2.434 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11).

And finally, new episodes of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (2.026 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14) and "The 100" (1.130 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) on The CW (1.578 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night.
